The White Swan is located in the centre of Ampleforth, a picturesque village nestled between the North York Moors National Park and the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We’re just a short drive from several well-known North Yorkshire towns: Helmsley (10 minutes), Thirsk (20 minutes), Malton (25 minutes), Pickering (30 minutes)
The historic City of York is around 40 minutes by car, and we’re also within easy reach of Sutton Bank, Rievaulx Abbey, and the popular trails and cycling routes of the surrounding countryside.
Whether you’re stopping in on your way through or making a day of it, we’re perfectly placed for a warm welcome.
making a visit
We are located in the heart of Ampleforth village, on the corner of East End and Old Station Road.

Vehicle access is from the rear of the pub from Station Road, where we have a large car park.
